Shenandoah AT Students Win Third Straight VATA Quiz Bowl

Three Shenandoah University athletic training students secured SU's third straight Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association (VATA) Student Quiz Bowl title during the organization's annual meeting on Jan. 3 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. This year's Shenandoah team included Megan Bone '29, Luke Finkbeiner '29, and Trilby Kite '30 as well as alternates Cori Babcock '29 and Aesia Garban '30. The VATA Student Quiz Bowl is a "Jeopardy"-style competition held during the annual conference that features college athletic training programs from across Virginia.

SU Athletic Training Students Win MAATA Quiz Bowl

Shenandoah University athletic training students Chloe Tannenbaum '28, Meghan Flaherty '28, and Will Fleming '29, along with team alternate Molly Sobolewski '27, won the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association District III Student Quiz Bowl during the MAATA Annual Meeting on May 17 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Those students will represent District III in the National Athletic Trainers' Association Student Quiz Bowl on June 26 in New Orleans. Shenandoah, which won its second straight Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association Quiz Bowl title in January, beat teams from Marshall University, the University of North Carolina Greensboro, the University of South Carolina and Towson University/Frostburg State University in the "Jeopardy"-style competition at the MAATA Annual Meeting this month.

Shenandoah AT Students Defend Quiz Bowl Title at VATA Annual Meeting

Shenandoah University athletic training students Meghan Flaherty '28, Will Fleming '29, Rachel Pitchford '27, and Chloe Tannenbaum '28 teamed up to win the Student Quiz Bowl at the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association (VATA) Annual Meeting on Jan. 5-7 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. It was the second straight year that Shenandoah has won the Quiz Bowl, a "Jeopardy"-style competition featuring college athletic training programs from across Virginia.

Shenandoah University Athletic Training Students Excel at VATA Annual Meeting

Shenandoah University Division of Athletic Training graduate students Cade Watts, Molly Sobolewski, Chloe Tannenbaum and Meghan Flaherty earned first place in the Student Quiz Bowl, a "Jeopardy"-style competition featuring athletic training programs from Virginia, at the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association (VATA) Annual Meeting on Jan. 13-15 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Watts also won the Professional Athletic Training Student Research Award for his presentation, "Relationship Between Sports-Related Concussion and Cervical Muscle Strength."
