The Shenandoah University indoor track & field teams added two more All-Americans to its annals on March 10-11 at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, as graduate student Tucker Kindig (weight throw) and senior Miles Moore (200-meter dash) each achieved the honor.

The Shenandoah University men's and women's indoor track & field teams had five athletes earn a total of six All-Region honors for the 2022-23 season in selections announced by the USTFCCCA. Earning the honors were Tucker Kindig (shot put and weight throws), William Crowder (60 meters), Miles Moore (200 meters), Kiara Felston (weight throw) and Kaitlin Measell (long jump).

Shenandoah University's field hockey team earned a National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Team Award. The NFHCA honors all of its teams, by division, that earn at least a 3.5 team GPA during the fall semester.

Shenandoah University's Warter Named Academic All-District

Shenandoah University volleyball junior Jillian Warter was named Academic All-District in selections announced recently by the College Sports Communicators. Warter, a psychology student with a 3.82 GPA and a three-time All-ODAC honoree, is now a candidate for Academic All-America. To be eligible for Academic All-America, nominees must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and played in 50 percent of the team's contests.

Shenandoah University had a football program-record 14 student-athletes earn 2022 All-ODAC honors in selections announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Four players -- graduate students Ben Burgan, Rashadeen Byrd Jr., and Mason Caldwell, and junior Keyshawn Wilder -- headline these honorees with first team accolades. Ethan Bigbee, Ethan Brown, Dominic Gulli, Scott Martin, David Munoz, and Carter Runyon earned second team accolades, while Matt Conroy, Steven Hugney, Quante Redd and Jordan Rice were third team selections.

Shenandoah's Nathan Yared Named All-ODAC for Men's Soccer

Shenandoah University sophomore Nathan Yared has earned first team All-ODAC honors for men's soccer in selections announced recently by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Yared, a forward and a Springfield, Virginia, native, becomes the first SU men's soccer player to be named first team All-ODAC.

Three Shenandoah Women's Soccer Players Named Academic All-District

Shenandoah University women's soccer players Jordan Haack, Elizabeth McGee and Karissa Dominick were named 2022 Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators and are now candidates for Academic All-America. Haack, McGee and Dominick, who helped the Hornets to an 11-win season and a spot in the ODAC tournament semifinals, have an average GPA of 3.80, with Haack leading the way at 3.96. To be eligible for Academic All-America, nominees must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have played in 50% of their team's contests. The Academic All-America ballot is voted on by athletic communications professionals across the nation, and the AAA team will be announced in December.

Shenandoah University Baseball Announces Leadership Council

The defending ODAC champion Shenandoah University baseball team has named 13 players to its 2022-23 leadership council. Frankie Ritter has been named as the team's captain in a vote of the 2023 squad, with Gavin Horning and Reilly Owen voted as co-captains. The class representatives are as follows: Class of 2023: Kooper Anderson, Jacob Faivre Class of 2024: Andrew Falk, Jeremy Kwolek Class of 2025: Grady Dillon, Brian Ferreira Class of 2026: Kyle Garrett, Luke Keister, Jaime Padilla, Ricky Snyder

Shenandoah University's Jillian Warter Named All-ODAC for Volleyball

Shenandoah University junior volleyball player Jillian Warter has earned 2022 All-ODAC honors for volleyball in selections announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Sunday, Nov. 6. Warter, an outside hitter, earned All-ODAC accolades for the third consecutive year after leading Shenandoah in kills, kills per set, and sets played. This season, she is a second team All-ODAC honoree after being a third team selection in both 2020 and 2021.

Shenandoah University's field hockey team had nine players named to the 2022 All-ODAC squad, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday, Nov. 8. SU's honorees are headlined by Offensive Player of the Year Mairead Mckibbin and Defensive Player of the Year Elise Velasquez. Cassidy Morrison and Kelsey Jones joined Mckibbin and Velasquez on the All-ODAC first team. Lauren Tyre, Farren Winter and Taylor Swann were second-team honorees, and Claudia Lenahan and Madison Short were named to the third team.

Three Women's Lacrosse Players Earn All-State Honors

Three Shenandoah University women's lacrosse players earned All-State honors in selections announced Thursday afternoon by the Virginia State Sports Information Directors Association. Alyson Bittinger '21 headlines the trio by earning her fifth accolade from the association being named first team All-State for the second year in a row. The IWLCA All-American was named VaSID Rookie of the Year in 2018, was named to the second team as a sophomore in addition to being named Academic All-State. Rising senior attacker Emma Stiffler, along with defender Madison Re, were voted to the second team to round out their post-season awards.

Five Earn VaSID Baseball Honors

Five Shenandoah University baseball players earned All-State honors in selections announced Wednesday afternoon by the Virginia State Sports Information Directors Association. Rising junior Colby Martin headlines this quintet by earning Player of the Year accolades. Martin, who has three seasons of eligibility remaining, caps an outstanding year in which he was previously named as the league Player of the Year by the ODAC and South Region Player of the Year by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Keegan Woolford '20, '22 MBA and rising senior Pearce Bucher join Martin on the first team All-State with their selections at first and third base, respectively. Bucher's classmates, Frankie Ritter and Tad Dean, round out the honorees with second team honors. Ritter was picked at shortstop and Dean as a starting pitcher.
