Shenandoah University wrestler Dylan Weaver was named a 2024 NCAA Division III Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). Weaver is the first Hornet wrestler to earn the honor.

Nine Shenandoah University football players were selected to the 2024 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, which is composed of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

Three Shenandoah University women's basketball student-athletes earned All-ODAC honors in selections announced by the conference on Feb. 21. Hornets Maddie Kimble and Terese Greene both earned All-ODAC First Team, while Shawnise Campbell made the third team.

Shenandoah University graduate student Jaylen Williams has been named to the men's basketball All-ODAC second team as announced by the conference on Feb. 21. It's the second All-ODAC honor for Williams, who was a second-team pick in 2021-2022.

The Shenandoah University field hockey program was recognized for academic excellence by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, landing 22 student-athletes on the association's 2023 Division III National Academic Squad. The Hornets tied for the third-most NFHCA Academic Squad honorees in the country, and only four other schools had at least 22 athletes appear on the list. Abby Barefoot, Elise Velasquez, and Farren Winter were named to the NFHCA academic squad for a fourth time. The trio is part of a group of 291 student-athletes who made a fourth appearance on the squad.

The Shenandoah University men's and women's cross country teams earned 2023 All-Academic Team honors from the USTFCCCA, while women's cross country runners Emma Madrigal and Makenna Thrush were named All-Academic Athletes by the organization. The women's team earned the award with their 3.53 team GPA in the Fall 2023 semester, while the men were recognized for their 3.40 team GPA. Madrigal, an exercise science student, has a 3.57 career GPA, while Thrush, who is studying athletic training, has a 3.78 career GPA. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25% of their respective regional championship meet. For the team honor, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10.

Shenandoah University football players Ethan Brown, Matt Conroy, Dominic Gulli, Steven Hugney, Andre Jackson, David Munoz, Michael Sheil and Noah Temme were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 career GPA and either start in 60% of their team's games or participate in 90% of their team's games and/or competitions.

Shenandoah University volleyball players Jillian Warter, Natalie Reader and Brooke Gast were selected to the College Sports Communicators Division III Women's Volleyball Academic All-District Team.

Shenandoah University outfielder Gavin Horning was named a 2024 preseason All-American by D3baseball.com. Horning, a graduate student, earned All-America honors by both the American Baseball Coaches Association (first team) and D3baseball.com (second team) in 2023 after batting .409 with seven home runs, 17 doubles, seven triples, 60 RBIs, 61 runs scored and 22 stolen bases in 52 games.

Shenandoah University field hockey players Mairead McKibbin and Elise Velasquez were named third team All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Shenandoah University football players David Munoz, Matt Conroy and Keyshawn Wilder were named to the 2023 D3football.com All-Region Team.

Shenandoah men's soccer player Nathan Yared was named second team All-Region VI by United Soccer Coaches.

Shenandoah University's football team had 10 student-athletes selected to the 2023 All-ODAC Team.

Shenandoah field hockey players Elise Velasquez and Farren Winter were selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior Team.

Shenandoah University men's soccer players Chinedu Ikem, Nathan Yared, Maynor Menendez and Travis Jett earned 2023 All-ODAC honors. Hornets coach Brandon Kates was voted the ODAC Coach of the Year.

Shenandoah University women's soccer players Bryanna Marinari, Lauren Duffy and Kayla Jenkins were selected to the 2023 All-ODAC team.

Shenandoah University's field hockey team had 10 student-athletes earn All-ODAC honors, led by Defensive Player of the Year Elise Velasquez.

Four Shenandoah University baseball players were named all-state by the Virginia Sports Information Directors. Frankie Ritter, Gavin Horning and Jacob Bell each made the first team, while Pearce Bucher was a second team selection.

Three members of Shenandoah University's women's outdoor track and field program were named to the 2023 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State College Division Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team.

Six Shenandoah University women's lacrosse players were named to the 2023 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, while the Hornets as a team were among the 289 programs across all NCAA divisions to be recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad.

Four individuals and one relay team from Shenandoah University's men's outdoor track and field program were named to the 2023 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State College Division Men's Outdoor Track and Field Team.

Three members of Shenandoah University's women's golf team - Isabelle Schultz, Brooke Vaillancourt and Karlie Zamora - were named to the 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars Team.

Shenandoah University had six student-athletes named to the 2022-23 Virginia Sports Information Directors Academic All-State Team.

Shenandoah University women's lacrosse player Emma Stiffler was selected to the 2023 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State College Division Women's Lacrosse Team.

Shenandoah University senior Jahveesha Combs was named to the 2023 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State College Division Women's Tennis Team. Combs, who was 14-5 playing in the No. 1 spot for the Hornets in 2023, earned second-team honors.

Shenandoah University's men's tennis team had three student-athletes - Artem Babaiev, Dominick Suwak and Keith Orr - earn all-state honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) for the 2023 season. SU head coach Jason Cole was named Coach of the Year.

Shenandoah University third baseman Ryan Clawson was named to the 2023 American Baseball Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-Defensive Team for Region 6.

Shenandoah University's baseball program has announced its end of the year awards for the 2023 season. Awards included Most Valuable Player, Most Outstanding Pitcher, Most Outstanding Hitter, Rookie of the Year, Gold Glove, Most Inspirational Player and Most Outstanding Student.
